    The road to the Buffalo Marathon and Buffalo Half Marathon starts here. This spring, runners of all levels are invited to take part in In It For The Long Run: Buffalo, a free community long run series designed to help athletes train smart, stay healthy, and build confidence heading into race day.

    Hosted in collaboration with Buffalo MarathonRunner’s Roost, and Buffalo Rehab Group, this series brings together the Buffalo running community for structured long runs at key points in the training cycle. Whether you’re preparing for your first half marathon or chasing a marathon PR, these runs are built to support you every step of the way.

    What to Expect

    • Free, community-focused long runs

    • All paces and all run clubs welcome

    • Dynamic warm-ups led by Buffalo Rehab Group before each run to promote injury prevention and smart training

    • Distances tailored for both half marathon and full marathon training

    Long Run Schedule

    • March 1 – Resurgence Brewing (8:30 AM)
      Half Marathon: 7 miles | Full Marathon: 14 miles

    • April 4 – Runner’s Roost Orchard Park (8:30 AM)
      Half Marathon: 8 miles | Full Marathon: 16 miles

    • May 2 – Third Space Cafe (8:30 AM)
      Half Marathon: 10 miles | Full Marathon: 20 miles

    This long run series is about more than mileage — it’s about community, consistency, and showing up together as Buffalo runners prepare for one of the city’s most iconic race weekends.
